About Language Exploration Enrichment, 501c3Mission: to encourage all LEE students to explore world languages and cultures and to give donors an opportunity to invest in the future of children.
What differentiates you from the competition?LEE has a successful track record since 2003. In 23 years, 13 students have won Scholar of the Year, 5 teachers recognized as Most Valued Educator, 3 teachers awarded Rookie of the Year, and the 2 Directors installed in the Teacher Hall of Fame! FFLA
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers? We are a very small nonprofit. Our motto is "First you love them, then, you teach them."
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?Learn a language. Share a culture. Change the world!
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Lack of funding for nonprofits, especially language learning.

How is technology changing the classroom experience? It is a must to teach the way children are learning today. LEE uses iPads in the classroom.

What challenges are educators currently facing post-pandemic?Four years after the pandemic you are still seeing children a little behind in reading or with some type of social anxiety.

How do you support student engagement and well-being?LEE’s curriculum is very interactive. It is geared getting the student to talk in a world language other than their native language.

How are you preparing students for a rapidly changing world?LEE targets the language, however, it includes a cultural piece. For example, students learn that not all Hispanics or Latinos are from Mexico or eat tacos. We share material from the 21 Hispanic speaking countries in the world.

Can you share an initiative that has made a real impact?Using thematic units, for example, we choose a book that children are already familiar with in English. We teach vocabulary from the book and via reading. Using Little Red Riding Hood, we no longer ask what is Little Red Riding Hood’s cape color? Instead, we ask, what made Little Red Riding Hood wear a red cape? Now you get all kinds of answers! Critical thinking kicks in.

What’s your vision for the future of education?Outside classrooms, really implementing the 9 methods of learning to the next level.
